Description Students enrolled in the Weatherization Technician Program will, upon completion, be able to enter the work force as an entry level Weatherization Technician. Weatherization Technicians follow the recommendations of an Energy Auditor, and correctly install insulation and home envelope sealing technologies safely and properly to maximize the benefit to the home environment. There are many established businesses offering these services for the Government and Private Sector Business and Industry and the use of entry level personal will increase. With the passage of the recent energy efficiency legislation, the desire for Homeowners to request weatherization services will increase and this program will prepare students to fill these positions or to create new business opportunities. Students will fully understand the role energy efficiency has in daily life, how it can be applied, and how these systems can be verified to be installed and operated correctly.
