Date of last update 4/3/2009
Description This advanced Surfacing class covers all the functionality of the Freestyle workbench, with an in depth focus on developing Class "A" freeform curves and surfaces. Part of the major focus is to not just create geometry, but also manipulate and modify geometry. The approach is to get deep into creating the geometry, analyzing the geometry with focus on intended Class "A" quality, and manipulate geometry to achieve the necessary results to meet Class "A" standards. It will also look at cleaning up any existing geometry coming from V4 or other systems, with a close look at all the analysis tools within the workbench to aid in the development of clean geometry. Part of the class will also focus on building optimized surfaces while working off scan data from the studio to ensure the styling intension is met and still achieving good highlights off the surface data. Pre requisite is CATIA V5 Generative Shape Modeling/Surfacing.
